European Economic Congress 2026, EEC 2026: The Power of Dialogue, Energy, and New Directions for Growth

The European Economic Congress 2026, also known as EEC 2026, is behind us. This year’s theme, The Power of Dialogue, reflected the atmosphere of the meetings in Katowice very well. Participants talked about topics that affect decisions made by companies, local governments, and institutions: energy, security, technology, investment, international expansion, and the skills needed in the years ahead.

For us, EEC 2026 was a time of meetings with business leaders, institutions, and people looking for specific partners to work with.

The explitia Team in the Business InSilesia Zone

For all three days, we were present with our booth in the Business InSilesia Zone. Our company was represented by Artur Zieliński, Jakub Schmid, Kamil Lichosik, Katarzyna Kowalska, and Magdalena Pyzik.

Meetings at the booth showed how much direct conversation matters. We were visited by representatives of industrial and technology companies, as well as people from education, universities, public administration, and business support institutions.

We talked about, among other topics:

• opportunities to work with the industrial sector,
• expansion into international markets, including African markets,
• new growth directions for SMEs,
• skills needed in modern organizations,
• cooperation with universities and schools,
• jobs at our company and plans for further team growth.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth. These meetings help us better understand market needs and see where we can support companies and institutions.

Europe Under Pressure, Business at One Table

EEC 2026 focused strongly on Europe’s position under economic and geopolitical pressure. The topics discussed most often included energy security, migration, defense, technology, raw materials, and the resilience of the European economy.

A lot of attention was also given to investment, digitalization, and technologies of tomorrow. These topics matter to the largest players, but they are becoming more relevant for SMEs as well. This is especially true for companies that want to grow, enter new markets, and build an advantage based on knowledge, specialization, and strong relationships.

Guests included representatives of public administration, politics, business, media, and economic organizations. Panels covered deregulation, the energy transition, Europe’s resilience, and the role of industry in the coming years.

European Economic Congress 2026: Offshore Wind Energy and Polish Industry

On Thursday, our booth hosted the presentation “Offshore Wind Energy: A New Pillar of Polish Industry,” led by the Polish Wind Energy Association.

This topic fits well into the broader debate on the energy transitionOffshore wind energy means new investments, supply chains, technical skills, and an opportunity for many Polish companies. For industry, it is a direction that can strengthen specialization, cooperation, and the export of know-how.

Talks on Expansion and Cooperation

One of the main topics of our meetings was internationalization. We talked about entering new markets, including African markets, and the potential for cooperation with institutions that support Polish companies abroad.

For many companies, expansion begins with the right contact, a first look at opportunities, a conversation with the right people, and an assessment of whether a given market matches the company’s needs. EEC 2026 was a good place to start those conversations.

EEC 2026: A Congress That Connects Business, Ideas, and the Energy of the City

The European Economic Congress is more than panels and booth meetings. It also includes side events that create space for talks outside the official program. This year, participants could attend concerts by Nosowska and Mrozu, among other events.

This less formal part of the Congress also mattered. After a full day of talks about the economy, energy, investment, and technology, it gave participants room for more meetings, opinion exchange, and relationship building in a more relaxed setting.

Three Days, Many Perspectives, New Contacts

Our participation in the European Economic Congress 2026, EEC 2026, gave us the chance to meet partners, business representatives, institutions, educators, and public administration. We return with new contacts, new ideas, and a clearer picture of what companies thinking about growth need today.

The main takeaway was clear: dialogue makes sense when it leads to action. In Katowice, we talked about the future of the economy, but above all, about the needs of people and companies that want to act wisely, responsibly, and with both the near and long term in mind.

Our presence in the Business InSilesia Zone was carried out as part of the project “InterGlobal: Internationalization of SMEs from the Silesian Voivodeship,” FE SL 2021-2027, Priority FESL.01 European Funds for Smart Growth, Action FESL.01.10 Export Promotion and Internationalization of SMEs.
