explitia – cooperation in the process of IT system procurement
Procuring IT systems in a manufacturing plant is quite different from purchasing a machine or other physical device. In the case of technology, a single production challenge can often be addressed in multiple ways, making offer comparison particularly difficult. We understand this challenge perfectly. Our goal is to guide the early stages of collaboration to ensure the plant receives the most optimal solution – scalable, secure, and ready for further development.

Discovery call – the beginning of cooperation
Every collaboration with explitia begins with a Discovery Call. This remote meeting allows us to analyze the business needs of the manufacturing plant in detail, identify the best development path, and select the most suitable technological solutions. As experts, we are able to propose a wide range of solutions. Depending on the specifics and particular needs of your plant, we may implement explitia’s own software or world-class systems from partners such as COPA-DATA, Siemens, or AVEVA.

explitia – cooperation during the workshop
The next key stage in working with explitia is the Workshop. This is a free one- or two-day on-site meeting at your production plant. During the Workshop, the explitia team conducts an in-depth analysis of your facility’s needs, collecting vital information required to select the right solutions. During the session, we:
- expand and refine our understanding of your specific challenges,
- recommend appropriate technologies,
- help build a roadmap for implementation.
Additionally, the Workshop can help estimate the potential return on investment – which is essential for project budgeting. We also assist clients in navigating the next implementation steps. For example, if your plant needs a traceability system but the machines are not yet connected to the network, explitia will advise starting with machinery mapping and infrastructure preparation.
Budget offer – planning the investment
After the Workshop, the explitia team prepares a budget offer based on the data collected during the session. These initial steps are free of charge and help define the company’s actual needs.
Pre-Implementation audit – in-depth analysis
Depending on the complexity of the project, the next stage may be a Pre-Implementation Audit. The explitia team may spend a week or more at your production site to map out all machines, systems, and infrastructure. The aim of this audit is to create a detailed implementation concept and cost estimate. During this stage, we also discuss change management strategies and assist with employee training planning.
The audit findings can also serve as the basis for issuing a public request for proposal (RFP), allowing your company to open the bidding process to other providers.
As part of the audit, we present a detailed commercial offer along with a specific implementation plan, including a pilot project – the next step in our cooperation.
explitia – from commercial offer to pilot project
Next comes the pilot project – a small-scale deployment, such as implementation on a single production line. This allows the plant to test the system’s performance before committing to a full rollout.
All of explitia’s activities serve one purpose: to deliver a solution that meets the needs of your production facility and supports its continued growth.
