What a week! From September 3-6, our company had the honor of participating as a partner in the 22nd Business Management Conference and the 5th Polish BPM Symposium in Krakow. This event brought together academic experts in business processes, who specialize in modeling and optimizing these processes.
22nd Business Process Management Conference
This year’s international BPM conference in Krakow was a remarkable event, gathering experts from around the world focused on business process management and digital transformation within organizations.
During the conference, the Explitia team had the opportunity to engage in many inspiring conversations. These meetings allowed us to learn about new systematic process modeling methods, which are crucial when planning IT system implementations. One of the most interesting aspects of the event was the opportunity to listen to presentations on modeling large, complex business and production processes. Additionally, the conference enabled us to compare our approach with those of academic representatives from around the world and other Polish companies.
It’s worth noting that many Polish manufacturing companies still lack well-defined processes. Consequently, implementing an IT system on top of an unstructured framework is extremely challenging. The conference confirmed that developing a solid process model before starting IT solution implementations is essential.
“Meeting people who systematically model business processes is an opportunity to broaden horizons and understand how to do it using methods different from those we know.” – Artur Zieliński, CFO, Vice-President of Explitia.
A noteworthy element was also the gala dinner combined with an award ceremony for the best scientific papers in various fields. During this event, we were recognized as a partner of the conference, which is a great honor for us and a testament to our commitment to the development of this field.
Business Process Management – Presentation at the 5th Polish BPM Symposium
At the Polish BPM Symposium, which accompanied the international event, we participated in lectures and discussions on advanced Business Process Management (BPM) methods.
At the AGH Faculty of Management, experts demonstrated how to effectively monitor and measure process efficiency in companies, emphasizing that well-defined processes are the foundation of successful IT system implementations. Adrian Stelmach, CEO of Explitia, gave a presentation on the Role of BPM in implementing new technologies (including AI) in the industry.
“Everything we do is a process that can be mapped, optimized, described, and presented. That’s why I believe it’s high time BPM became a permanent part of educational programs.” – Adrian Stelmach, CEO, President of Explitia.
The event provided us with the opportunity to exchange experiences with participants and establish collaborations with the academic community. This is extremely important for us in the context of developing BPM in our activities.
