HMI, or Human-Machine Interface, is a human-machine interface. It is most often an operator panel, a screen next to a machine, or an application used to control a process.
SCADA usually covers a broader area: a line, production hall, plant, or control room. HMI is closer to the operator and a specific machine. This is why the terms HMI SCADA and SCADA HMI often appear together when a company is looking for industrial visualization.
